I haven't given a little overview of Linux games on sale for a while, so here's a fresh look ahead of another weekend for those of you looking to pick up something new.

Let's start off with GOG, as they have a few sweet games in various sales like:

Steam currently has a Pillars of Eternity sale going on with some good deals on this RPG, you can get both games for 50% off with another 10% off as a bundle.

Also on Steam, there's a Spike Chunsoft sale giving you a chance to get Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair for 80% off.

Meanwhile over on Humble Store, they've announced the Indie Hits Sale which has a huge amount of top titles going cheap, some quick picks:

Humble also have other developer and publisher deals going where you can find HITMAN - Game of The Year Edition with 75% off, Civilization VI - Digital Deluxe with 70% off, XCOM 2 Collection with 60% off and more.

For fans of strategy games, the Humble Crusader Kings II Bundle has four days left and includes plenty to get you started with this grand strategy game.

Fanatical also recently revealed the Bento Bundle 2, full of Anime-styled games. For £4.85 it will give you Linux supported titles including: Detention, The Adventures of Fei Duanmu, The Coma: Recut - Deluxe Edition, Winged Sakura: Mindy's Arc, Analogue: A Hate Story and some Windows games.

There's also the latest Humble Monthly with Slay the Spire, Squad, access to tons of DRM-free titles in the Trove and more titles to come next month.

I'm thinking I might get Hitman 2016 GOTY from Humble and play it in the Hitman 2 engine via Proton. From what I can tell you can do this even if you only have the free Hitman 2 starter pack on Steam.

I just played the Hitman 2 starter pack mission and it ran well on my setup. I have the Paris mission of Hitman 2016 and find it can be a little jerky sometimes. Maybe it will run better in Hitman 2? I saw some IO devs saying the game is very CPU intensive because of the NPC AI. So Paris vs Hawke's Bay may not be a valid comparison due to Paris having many more NPCs.

I'm thinking about Danganronpa, game ratings are amazing, but again, these niche games with their own fan base tend to have overinflated ratings. Not sure if a Japanese visual novel is actually my thing.

Danganronpa games are more than just visual novels, though that is a large part of them. However, these aren't your usual pick a waifu visual novels, these games get TWISTED.
