The developers of Vikings - Wolves of Midgard [Steam] have confirmed that Linux is planned, but it won't be until after the initial Windows release.

From their now updated FAQ:
QuotePlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC at launch; with Mac and Linux to follow at a later date.

Previously the game had a section open for Linux/SteamOS system requirements, which has been removed since the FAQ has been updated to say that.

Hopefully this won't be another we end up chasing down, but their publisher Kalypso Media is pretty Linux friendly, so it would be nice if we don't have to.

About the game
The Action RPG Vikings – Wolves of Midgard takes you to the Shores of Midgard, a world based upon the mythology and history of the Vikings, but with a fantasy twist. Battle the fearsome Jotan, hordes of terrifying undead monstrosities and the beasts of Ragnarok, as you strive to survive the growing cold that threatens to end all life, forever. Master mighty weapons, including sword and shield, two-handed hammers, dual-wielded axes and swift bows. Earn blood in battle to offer in tribute to the Gods in order to acquire and enhance devastating Spell Powers and other special unlockables.

It looks and sounds awesome, so hopefully we won't be kept waiting for too long. I would love to see more action RPG like games on Linux. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I already noticed that since I have this game on the wishlist since its announcement. I am not worried by it because Kalypso have delivered pretty good Linux ports already and they don't seem to step down from that. So we sadly just need to wait.

Kalypso told me the Linux version would delay about 4 weeks.
So end of April it is, if nothing happens..

Looks pretty cool. A cRPG game with Viking mythology and stuff. However, based on the developers' record on Steam, this isn't looking too good--four mixed reviews and one negative, with the only positive being for the soundtrack to one of their games. Hopefully, they'll surpass my expectations.

Had this on my radar just in case ever happened to be a Linux version. This is great news!

Maybe worth a note that it is also on GOG, though I somehow wonder if there's a difference, for the price difference is huge (24€ on GOG vs. 38€ on Steam...)

@Pit: It seems GOG has fixed the price. I can't see a difference. Both are ~38€.
