Oh baby! Brigador is one game you cannot afford to miss out on. It has such beautiful design and destruction that I can't help but fall in love with it.
In Brigador you are tasked with piloting some form of advanced weapons platform, like a mech unit or a tank and stomping over lots and lots of beautiful environments. All buildings and units on each map can be destroyed and the lighting is really impressive.
Is a building in your way? Blow it up or just stomp on it.
It plays out much like a twin-stick shooter, even though it doesn't really look or feel like one. It's certainly not an easy game and will take some playing to really get to grips with it.
The movement in the game is probably the hardest part to get a true feel on. Mech units legs can rotate right around, as can your gun. Anti-grav units are even harder to control, as strafing left and right happens in the direction you're pointing (so you turn around, and it's backwards). The controls are slightly awkward, but that's part of the fun to learn the control systems.
It has a full 21 mission campaign, unlockable vehicles and equipment, and a freelance mode to create even more destruction.
Did I mention how fantastic the soundtrack is? It's flipping beautiful too!
When you're as exhausted as I am, you really do need to just roll around a blow crap up. I love it.
Just go buy it already.
