Ahead of the release on September 20th, the hype train is now rolling for CrossCode with a new trailer. It was needed to, as their other trailer was really quite old.

CrossCode is a retro-inspired 2D Action RPG set in the distant future, with you following Lea as she enters a futuristic MMO. So it's a game, within another game. What's interesting, is that Lea cannot speak at all!

Originally funded on IndieGoGo back in 2015, I've been watching this one progress with a very keen eye. Everything about it seems so finely polished. The graphical style, the gameplay, literally everything and I was incredibly impressed with it when I last tried it out. Holding off until the final release is difficult with this one…

You can grab it from Humble StoreGOG and Steam.

What? Silent protagonist in a game? What will they think of next! ;)

But seriously, the game has been on my wishlist for ages. It looks and sounds like an enjoyable ARPG. The pace looks a bit scary, but I hope it's just the way the trailer has been cut together.

Well, it's not that she chooses to be silent. She literally can't speak.

The description of the game on its steam store page is really bad; nothing is said about the plot, the characters, the environment/world, ...

I've purchased this a while ago, but didn't want to play it until the full release. A bit silly, in hindsight, but it does look like it'll be worth the wait and the early purchase.

2015? I could have sworn the game was on my radar for much longer than that.

Looking forward to this. This seems to have echos of Hyperlight Drifter, which I enjoyed a lot.

Been waiting a long time on this one, glad I will be playing after Beta is over.
