Hello,
Rockstar has updated his launcher for L.A.Noire and dotnet is no more needed.
It's easier to install and play this game now on Linux on Steam with Steamplay.

That's great news! I hope they do it for their other games as well.

How much of the 'sylver install guide' on ProtonDB is relevant now then?

edit: seems it installs fine without any extra steps with Proton 6.3-2, had to manually install some DirectX stuff to get proper graphics (d3dx11, xact, xinput, d3dcompiler, mdx) and the launcher doesn't quit when you exit the game.

edit2: also can't get widescreen fix or fps unlock to work, the game will not start if these kind of applications are running. Seriously RockStar can suck my £$€#¤%#¤%!
