As Puppygames reflect on the release of Basingstoke, they say it financially ruined them

Sad news. I think I've purchased Revenge of the Titans four times including bundles. I'll probably buy it again eventually. Basingstoke just once so far.

Grand space strategy game AI War 2 had a massive update so big it's 'almost a sequel'

I just started playing the first game a few days ago and I think I've spent more time reading the wiki than playing so far. It wasn't like that at the beginning... until I faced my first nuclear eye. That damned tutorial didn't warn me!!!

Creator of WebRTC now working on Google Stadia, Darksiders Genesis out plus more Stadia news

Stadia's operating costs are far higher than Steam's, I'm not surprised that the games are more expensive. They may have started losing money with an aggressive launch promotion in order to attract users, but there's no way they can offer prices as low as you can see in other store's sales in the long run.

Or maybe they are actually using an aggressive launch promotion and the games will get even more expensive in the future. :D

As a EU citizen, I am very grateful to our courts and consumer groups for defending our rights against abusive EULAs and monopolies. I am also confident that Valve and the other distributors have the resources to adapt to any change in the regulation with little impact in their business model.

THQ Nordic has acquired the Carmageddon IP, perhaps we will finally get it on Linux

Stainless is dead and buried, I was expecting the Carmageddon website to go offline soon, so any other company acquiring it is good news. I just hope they're aware that the fan base nowadays isn't as "passionate and dedicated" as it used to be. Stainless made a great job disappointing everyone.

Sad news, but I very much appreciate their announcement and the compelling reasons exposed, to the point that I'm printing it. It may come in handy if I need to use the toilet.
