Quoting: ArdjeThere will always be people that judge you for certain games you own...You can always set your game list to private. Also I highly doubt anybody cares as much as you imagine they would.

I was sceptical at first, but I think I am slowly becoming a believer. Steam contains a huge library of older games that will never get a native port. Some of them don't even run on new versions of Windows. But with Proton they can resurrect these games for a new life. And I think there might be a substantial market here.

Unfortunately this has to do as much with our small numbers as the culture of the devs.
As a (non-game) software developer I have been in several projects where we had a mixed team using Windows, macOS, and Linux. As long as we kept a little bit of discipline, and made sure not to break things for each other, it was quite painless to cooperate. But as soon as the team changed to users of the same platform, some small incompatibilities started sneaking in.
Linux support is not a one time task. It's as process.

I keep hearing about these key stealing bots. Does anyone have any references to how they actually work? Is that even a thing?

Quoting: slaapliedjeHmm, I have been running 4.18 on Debian Sid for a long time now and haven't had an issue. It has ran about the same as it always has. Wonder if they already blacklist it. Will have to check. The module is not built in Debian kernels. Just checked.

They should really put Steam Play settings into the Big Picture mode. Now I need to switch to the desktop mode to check which version am I running. Or have a forever "latest beta" setting.

Hi Liam. To be frank, I find these type of news not quite to my liking. When I look through new articles, I like to see the headline and the short summary, because I can easily gauge my interest in the topic, and decide if I want to read the full article. Whereas here I have to skim through every paragraph to see if there is anything of interest in there.
I appreciate that you do not want to spam us, but maybe it would be possible to introduce a different kind of news item for these tiny tidbits of information? Something like a headline and a paragraph of text directly on the frontpage without it being a link to an article perhaps.
This is really a matter of presentation, not the actual content. Because the content is great, and you are awesome. :)
