I was hoping for Maniac Mansion to be remastered as well but unfortunately is not :(

Dear Valve and Steam Machines OEMs, you have it all wrong

Steam HardWare + SteamOS Titles go together is not only steam hardware!

Lets say that tomorrow somehow Valve managed to make an agreement with OEM Vendors to build a very nice steam machine, a 350 Euro Steam Machine, with descent hardware that plays all the SteamOS Titles with 60 FPS, full details etc and everyone goes and buy that Steam Machine and there is a huge record on sales.

So now what ? You think that this is the solution for all of our problems?? So now SteamOS is a success???

Just nope!
Believe it or not I bet that 98% of the people will format their Steam OS Machines and install Windows on it for the obvious reason to be able to play all the popular game titles.

Atm Valve cant do anything about it because developers, game engines, Vulkan API,drivers,Linux OS have to mature so Valve has to give them time to grow up.

When the time comes that every title will be available to Linux from day 1 with the same performance as windows or even better then you will see Linux Rising. :)

I am the Godfather of my best friends son and we had to buy him a console for his birthday in order to play some real games instead of the games that his currently playing on his Ipad :P

Guess what... We bought him an Xbox One!
Even though I wanted to buy him a Steam Machine it was a HUGE NOPE!!!

He is 4 years old and the games/titles plus the performance that the Xbox has is far more superior than the currently Steam machine.
We have spend like 300 Euro + 1 game included.
We bought also some Lego Games as well because he loves Lego Titles for another 100 Euro and thats it.

Now we all enjoying the awesomeness of the console... and I am so happy that I didnt get him a Steam Machine.

I challenge you to tell me some SteamOS Titles for a 4 year old boy that he would have fun...
The answer is simple :

Well he wouldnt be able play the titles he really wanted to play but I Would enforce him to play the titles that were available for him if any would satisfy him.

So instead of having my baby crying I have chosen to buy him an Xbox one :)

The latest Steam Hardware Survey shows a rather insignificant drop for Linux

That was ovious

20 Games Top Sellers, Only 5 Titles to Linux

Games like

DOOM,Rocket League,The Witcher 3,Dark Souls 3,Rise of The Tomb Raider etc

You think anyone who is a Pro GAMER etc, would switch to Linux?

For what? To play 2+ years old games and even with lower performance?

Like it or not thats the harsh true .

Linux still has a long road ahead and hopefully one day would be treated equaly in both new game releases and performance.

I dont like this scheme that most of the developers are doing

It seems that most of the developers are porting their old titles to Linux but not their newest ones

For example

F1 2015 , Lets port the old title to Linux but not the new one
Tomb Raider Lets port the old title to Linux but not the new one
The Banner Saga , Lets port the old title to Linux but not the new one
Killing Floor , Lets port the old title to Linux but not the new one
Civilization Lets port the old title to Linux but not the new one yet

and so on...

What do you think a Linux user is ? A funding machine for your new games?

Honestly I really hate this ! :><:

Developers, I really want to play your new games not a year after... :><:

Quoting: HalifaxKDE Plasma 4 in Debian 8.4 "Jessie" is the only DE worth using. Why, oh why, did Plasma 5 have to suffer a group brainfart and think "streamlining" the goodness of Oxygen down to the devolved Breeze theme was a way forward? X-)

Plasma 5 is much better than KDE 4.

At start I hate Plasma 5 as well but now Plasma 5 is in a very good shape and I really love it.

For me Plasma 5 is the BEST DE of all! ^_^
