Gears of War: E-Day announced and it's coming to Steam

" Requires 3rd-Party Account: Xbox Live "

That's a pass for me. Plenty of other games that won't put me though that.

Max Caulfield returns in Life is Strange: Double Exposure

From the store page"Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: Denuvo Anti-tamper "

I just lost all interest myself.

Quoting: DrMcCoyI wonder how they're going to square the diverging endings of the original game. I.e. how and where is Chloe

And they better make it gay af.

I think that this is why they don't mention her at all. By not doing so they don't have to tackle that question. For those who chose to have her die she is dead. For those who chose to save her they can assume the friendhsip ended or any other excuse. It's a copout but not shocking. The first one wasn't "gay af" so why would the sequel have to be ?

GOG will purge your Cloud Saves that hit over 200MB

Stuff like this rarely effetcs me. I actually prefer to not use cloud saves. I want manual offline options and to back it up myself. People can complain it's more work, and it is, but then again when crap like this happens I just laugh and go about my day.

Best way to preserve software is to make it FOSS.

Men of War II out now on Steam with Native Linux support

I'm glad for the native Linux version but I won't spend a cent on a game that forces me to be online, especially when I only plan on playing it offline. I have a stable internet connection, it's the principle of it.

PERIMETER: Legate Edition released on Steam with Linux support

My only complaint is that the only options seem to be using Steam or compiling from source. Would be nice if they sold it somewhere on an alternative such as Itch.io or GOG.

King under the Mountain (Mountaincore) went open source as developer shuts down

I wish this fate would happen to more games that they stop development on. The gaming sector has a huge amount of software that just sits there with nobody able to help keep it going yet the people who own the rights do nothing with it.

IGN acquired the Gamer Network including RPS, Eurogamer, VG247 and more

I haven't been on IGN in years. I post reviews on Gamespot but don't use them for news. GOL and Boiling Steam are pretty much the main gaming news sites I go to.

Microsoft's new Recall AI will take screenshots of everything you do - freaky

All I can do is laugh and keep using Linux. Microsoft will just keep getting more brazen as people keep using Windows. No need to hide your dirty laundry when many will still use your crappy OS. Just flat out tell them what you're going to do to them and watch as they shrug their shoulders and keep using your crappy product.

I still need to go buy Heart of the Forest. Keep forgetting to when I have the money.
