Action Platformer Slinki Released On Steam, A Demo Is Available
20 April 2015 at 7:49 pm UTC

Let us know what you think when you've had a chance to try it.

I actually got the full game from a reader of GOL on Steam. I don't think they're registered here, but thanks again for the games if you are. :) This game didn't capture me enough to make me want to play it exclusively, but I'll probably keep playing it in between other things.

Yeah, I have it on Wii U and I really like that one too. This one looks pretty interesting though.

Outland, A Fast-paced, Dynamic Platformer Now Available On Linux

Outland is one of the weeklong deals on Steam and is currently 75% off. I've played a bit of it, and I love it so far. My only complaint is that you can't rebind keyboard controls, and can only choose between two pre-defined layouts. Neither of which lets you put the action controls on the left side of the keyboard, which makes being able to move with arrow keys pretty pointless.

I haven't played any of his brother's games, but I've heard good things about them. They're both very talented for sure.

This bit to me says it isn't a recent/new game.
Really hoping for C&C generals ZH, but I asked them earlier this year if they are porting it to Linux and they said it will never happen through aspyr.
You watch it be an old COD game or some thing.

Yeah, I asked them about Generals too. It's not my favourite of the C&C games, but still a very good game, and it would be great to have it available for Linux.

If anyone's porting Magicka, my money would be on flibitjibibo – not all hands at Aspyr.

QuoteOf course I will not be giving it away (wild speculation is too much fun), but lets just say its a game that has been asked for literally thousands of times. It's also personally one of my favorite games of all time.

Sounds like Dishonored or Beyond Good & Evil.

Dead Synchronicity Is The Striking New Point-And-Click From Fictiorama Studios And Daedalic Entertainment

Quoting: fleskThe game launched on Steam this week, with a DRM free version to follow.
The game does uses Steamsorks features but [not the DRM](http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Dead_Synchronicity:_Tomorrow_Comes_Today).

Thanks, I should perhaps start mentioning that. I think almost all (if not all) of the Unity games I've tried can be launched without Steam running. Though most who will want to buy a DRM free version will probably want to get it from one of the DRM free stores, so it might be a moot point.

Daedalic Entertainment's Puzzle Adventure 'Fire' Available On Steam For Linux

I don't really mind sliding puzzles. My main issue with music puzzles is that you don't have all the information required to solve the puzzle up front, and have to constantly keep listening to the audio clues. Some developers do these puzzles right (in my opinion) by supplementing the audio clues with visual ones, like e.g. different colors for each note/tune.

Yeah, those games are great. I must have spent hundreds—if not thousands—of hours on Patrician on my old Amiga.

Quoting: Segata SanshiroAlso, I really wish Daedallic would hurry up and port a few more of their adventure games over. Still haven't played A New Beginning, Night of the Rabbit or the second half of Whispered World and can't be bothered to play them through Wine.

Me too. I've played through Whispered World and the Deponia trilogy, but I'd love to see more of their games make their way to Linux soon. There are some known issues with text display in Visionaire Studio, but I don't know if that's what causing the hold-up, and if so, why that wasn't an issue with the Deponia games.
