I'm hoping for as much of an increase that 15.5 had for me :D
Just waiting for the download to finish... arghh, come on slow internet! :P

What Have You Been Playing Recently, And What Do You Think About It?

Shadowrun Returns

A great game, with a bit hard to use UI though. I love the story but keep hearing that Dragonfall has the better story, so can't wait to play that after I finish Shadowrun Returns. After that probably Hong Kong :P . I am liking the Shadowrun universe setting, first time I ever played one.

The other game I am playing right now is Shadow of Mordor on and off.

I have to say, those graphics look really nice, and it's only in alpha? Can't wait to see the finished product.

Introducing the Latest Addition To GOL Cast Hardware: Radeon R7 370 [Updated]
13 August 2015 at 8:15 pm UTC

Nice article, and glad to know that GOL finally has an AMD card ;)

I might have to try the Gallium-Nine drivers sometime, and hopefully with a R9 390 sometime in the near future. I can't believe the difference that makes.

I was actually able to run Shadow of Mordor on ultra high for around 20 minutes before a crash, (R9 270x 2Gb at around mid 20 to 30 FPS) but It seems that Catalyst still has a way to go to.
Those Nvidia to AMD FPS differences are interesting, are Nvidia drivers that much different in some cases?

Well on Mint 17 (AMD R9 270x) I seem to have eliminated crashes and sped it up, I dont know how much, but it is much smoother and I am running at my full resolution of 1600 x 900. By using the ShadowOfMordor.sh or just the binary to start the game to use my own system libs. No FPS counter because it isn't using steam to launch it though (Steam sill has to be running in the background for the game to work though)

While using Steam's libs I was crashing almost every time I played, about after I guess 20 minutes. Using my libs I haven't seen a crash yet, going for about 1.5 hours.

Great game and thanks Feral ^_^

EDIT: Hey! Theres a benchmark , Running it with:
Steam Libs: Avg: 26, Max: 47, Min: 16
Mint Libs: Avg: 29, Max: 49, Min: 18
Ran a few times of each

Not as much as what I thought, but still less crashy for me, and I can still run at a higher resolution, so still a little better anyway.

Woohoo! It finally finished downloading :D ! It runs mostly around 30 fps for me with jumps up to high 40's to low 50's with everything low. R9 270x 2GB. Hopefully they can get it a little better on AMD cards though, but perfectly playable for me ^_^

Downloading Now! Can't wait to play it (in four days, according to seam. Crap internet connection :P ).
I have noticed there is quite a difference in size for every OS. 47GB for Linux, 67 for Mac, and 25 minimum for Windows. Well I am glad I don't have to get 67GB though :P
