Metro Exodus hits 10 million sales - and there's more to come

It's a significant departure especially in gameplay from the first two, and IMHO much worse because Exodus is mostly an open-world game with loads of half-assed fetch quests that do not further the story in any way.
I really hope the upcoming VR title will go back to the roots of the first two, and given how badly suited VR is for open-world games I have some hopes that it will not totally suck.

QuoteI still haven't actually gone through and finished Metro Exodus yet. Really enjoyed the gameplay and story in the first two though, so I really should do Exodus at some point.

Odd screen resolution choice. Probably not the best for overall performance.
But still... depending on the price this might be an interesting Steam Deck competitor.

The player increase is probably from the simultaneous 60% discount last week.
Its a nice Godot engine based game, but the combat isn't really tower defense (and it would be probably a better game if it was).

These are clearly partially defective A750/770 chips that otherwise could not be sold at all.
I think it is a reasonable offer, but it irks me that apparently the defective parts are not actually fully disabled and still draw power even when idling.

They probably need this for their Deckard system (wireless VR streaming) and since it is rumoured to have very similar internals to the Steam Deck (and a Qualcomm based co-processor), it is probably easy to back-port this improvement to the Deck.

I give them that: they very accurately recreated the cringe that was the original Mortal Combat even when it was first released.

Quoting: rustybroomhandleAfter reading the original story, I tried to get banned by doing things like changing Proton version, adding reshade, changing driver versions, but nothing so far. I wonder what the exact conditions are that would trigger a false positive.

Yeah, I was positively surprised a few months ago that it does work nicely on Wayland with KDE (with my HTC Vive Pro).
