Legend Of Grimrock Now Playable Again On Linux For Nvidia 900 Series

Quoting: JudasIscariotIn case anyone here has the GOG version, we've already made contact with Almost Human and they reassured us that once they are happy with the beta Linux update they will update the GOG builds as well :)
Will Galaxy allow for such beta versions to be uploaded by the developer as well?

Edit: JudasIscariot responded after I sent them a private message. Find the response below.

Quoting: JudasIscariotHi, it's a bit too early in Galaxy's development cycle for me to comment on such things. Your best bet would be to follow the official thread on the GOG forums: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/gog_galaxy_beta_2

Also, i am not involved with Galaxy's development so there's another reason why I refrain on commenting on whether a feature will be included or not.

Sorry :(

Quoting: FutureSutureI am so glad that this is finally fixed so that I can continue playing. Legend of Grimrock is far too nice of a game to not finish. Very surprising to find out that Almost Human only has a single programmer, though. Hopefully Legend of Grimrock 2 makes it to Linux someday as well.

I was surprised it wasn't you that sent this one in :p
Perhaps the shock of finally seeing some progress after so long made me forget to submit a tip? :P

Quoting: Guest@FutureSuture: Enjoy the game at long last!

Glad they fixed/worked around the root cause.
That I will, mate. That I will! ^_^

Happy Birthday to GamingOnLinux!
QuoteWell that came fast. Six years ago I started tinkering with the first iteration of GamingOnLinux, and here we are still going strong. You can see a snapshot of how we looked back in 2011 here (on our original address), my how we have changed.
Wow, GamingOnLinux has come a long way since then...

QuoteI would just like to remind you that I am Human, please treat me as much when I get things glaringly wrong.
Proof that you are human?

Quoting: kalinI will wait for steam version
It was released on Steam as soon as Frozenbyte finished developing it.

Quoting: FutureSutureFinally! That took far longer than I anticipated. Now I just need to wait for a few more games that have Linux clients elsewhere as well as Galaxy.
Sorry about that but we only got the Linux version on the 30th of June :)
Better late than never. :P Time to take it off this list...

QuoteThe game will release in full on the 25th of July, and it will even see a DRM free release on GOG. This is great news, as I was hoping it wouldn't be tied to Steam.
The one we know only as Shmerl will be very happy about this.

I absolutely love the Castlevania games on the DS, so I could see myself getting this to play games like Chasm, Mystik Belle, and Slain!, provided that they are good games. I doubt that they will be too demanding considering that they are pixel art games.
