Quoting: Projectile VomitI've often wondered why Torchlight isn't on Steam for Linux. I just figured it had something to do with the bugs (invisible faces) and it wasn't worth bothering with. The Windows version of Torchlight works flawlessly in Play On Linux, btw.Last I checked, the bug you speak of had been fixed for at least a year. Torchlight 2 remains a mystery, however.
I've been hoping they would fix the bug and give us some o' that Torchlight 2 goodness. I'm happy to see they haven't abandoned us.

Quoting: outoforderccIt seems you are not quite up to date, good sir!Quoting: FutureSutureUnfortunately GOG still has the stance of no Linux support. I do hope the fact that the Humble Store has been supporting Linux, as well as Steam supporting Linux will encourage them to change their stance.Quoting: outoforderccTorchlight has not been forgotten about either. It is on my todo list once another game mentioned here is goes into beta in the next week or so on Mac + Linux..Thank you for responding, Mr. Rudd! I assume it is safe to say that the Linux client will be on Steam and the Humble Store, but what is your take on it appearing on GOG?

Quoting: Edwin Smith, Head of Production at FeralHowever, XCOM does support the open source Mesa drivers for Intel cards, and we actually logged and fixed a bug in the driver during the development of XCOM.This open source stuff seems really useful. :D

Quoting: OrkultusI started a thread in the steam forums about bringing Torchlight 2 to Linux, and it has gotten very popular. Sadly the Developers dont even read it. http://steamcommunity.com/app/200710/discussions/0/864946671989073821/Makes sense considering how Runic cannot even be bothered to make the already developed Linux client for Torchlight widely available so that people can actually buy it.

Quoting: KelsTo be honest, I'd rather see Torchlight 2 than the original on Linux. But you go with what you've got I guess. That is the thing, though; Torchlight is already on Linux. It just needs to be made more widely available. Torchlight 2 would be a whole lot more effort. I, too, want to see the latter on Linux, but saying you want one rather than the other when the other is so much closer to a reality (or already a reality) seems illogical.

[Jim Sterlling on Ubisoft again.](http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/jimquisition/9462-Ubisoft-A-Sad-History-of-PC-Failures) Hot damn, Ubisoft is a really, really crappy company. I didn't know half of all that nonsense that Ubisoft had the gall to spout.

Quoting: Xpanderi couldnt resist contagion, insurgency and starforge..and in fact those are going to be inhouse ports i think so its not really a problem with where the money goes i think. As long as the folks there know you purchased the game to play on Linux and not on Windows or Mac OS, it should be fine. Even if it is not a question of money, it is still a question of market share.

Quoting: Gran PCwhen you are trying to cater to an userbase that seems to mostly hate youThat really isn't a fair assessment. That's generalization. Also, it is unwise to single out Linux users here when I am quite sure that not all fans of this game who are Windows or Mac OS users are goodie goodie two shoes either. Not pleased with the degenerates who brought this about, but the reaction isn't welcome either.
