I know a couple youtubers that will take the "external GPUs are not supported on Steam Deck" as a challenge. There are some videos out there of people plugging a discreet card trough the m.2 connector in some mini PCs. You bet someone will try that on the Deck too.

The art in this one looks very nice, although I got the impression they hold back a bit on the details so they can release it on the Switch. Totally justifiable, from their point of view.

Bud Spencer & Terence Hill - Slaps And Beans 2 will be coming to Linux

I enjoyed the first one and I'm glad they will rework the combat system. It was passable, not great. I'm too gave up after I got stuck in some stage. Maybe I find the will to finish it now, knowing this one is coming and I will end up getting it.

Whishlisted it, looks very nice.

This publisher (Tribute Games) also did other Linux games, and they will publish the new TMNT. Lets hope we got another sweet Ethan Lee port too.

American Truck Simulator - Wyoming is out now and it's doing well, 75% off the base game

I was playing it yesterday (not this new DLC). It is impressive how much those DLCs allowed SCS to improve the base game. The graphic is a lot better than in the beginning, the performance on Linux improved a lot, now being mostly on par with Windows. Tons of small improvements in the core gameplay.

The only problem they didn't manage to get hid off is the notorious aliasing, that can only be deal with using heavy upscaling in the options. One can only hope they will offer TAA in the feature, since their move to DX11/OGL4.5.

Quoting: UnixOutlawSorely tempted... but... I just bought two laptops - and - I'd really prefer an AMD option...

Personally, I don't trust laptops for these reasons:
https://0bin.net/paste/q6VLgTar#i88QuidQS-7DQQ1kedFyFYVUmnUBFt8Zsnf4E3QcyPO

Laptops are kept in direct contact with our lap. Its undersides emit 40- 100 milliGauss EMF, which is 40X to 100X higher than the standard limit of EMF exposure. The EMF exposure on a limited part of the body makes it more hazardous.

I know many people have a blind belief that RF-EMF is harmless or unimportant. But the independent studies of the top scientific teams tell a different story.

What is stopping you to use a laptop over a table?

Also, instead of buying a laptop, you can buy a notebook.

Quoting: DeadCodeThe poor can have lots of cores. I got a Ryzen 2700 for my gaming box for for $150. I've seen Ryzen 1700's for a $120 on ebay. So the poor are not limited in cores.
Wait, even the poor have eight cores now? What does that make me? Destitute? *cries in quadcore*

Shhh, we call ourselves "Steam Deck Owners" now. And if anybody asks, we have got the 512GB model.

I hope they at least have the decency to give refunds for those who bought their game in good faith. But I wouldn't hold my breath...

QuoteAltered Orbit Studios say having a "proper AI" was a big goal, with enemies fully aware of each other and work together to try and take you down. They won't sit still, they will find cover and try to break you out of cover if you sit for too long.

Oh, I having tears of joy after reading this.

In a world were a 16 core desktop CPU is a reality, it is ironic that a retro-looking game is making a effort to do nice AI and physics, while advanced AAA "ray tracing" games go on the other direction. We have 16 core CPUs now people (not we the poor, but you get the point). It is time to put those to work in favor of gameplay, not anti-piracy measures.

I played it yesterday and sincerely, it felt more like a Call of Duty in zombie mode than a true and worthy successor to the L4D series. The control scheme is bad, the game is way heavier than it should (another Unreal Engine victim. Small teams should not be allowed to use it...) and the whole game feels soulless, like, despise the name of the studio, none of the original team members touched this new game.

They already had a bad reception on the Steam reviews. They better introduce drastic measures to contain the damage AND review their price policy, otherwise this one will be a financial flop.
