If the map editor can be available for GOG users that would be excellent.

Agreed. I wish they did not create Galaxy at all. It is what it is.

Quoting: GuestI hope they don’t.
The only upside of GOG.com is the DRM-free installers, and they already started to hide these in favour of their Galaxy malware. The lack of a Linux build of Galaxy is the only thing preventing them to add DRM-gated features to the Linux games they sell.

I with you on this. I tried Steam. Did not feel it. Chuck my account for a few bucks. Now I'm down to GOG, itch.io, Stadia and direct from devs.
I just things out of my way when I'm gaming. Whatever brings me to click and play on Linux gets my money.

Quoting: GuestFor myself, the convenience of GOG is that it doesn't require some extra client to download the games - I can grab them directly from the website and use stand-alone installers. I prefer this personally, where available.

Google finally adds a search bar to Stadia, some big UI changes coming that look good

It's sharp on my end. I can download some of the clips I made and send them your way. I mostly play ZA4, MK11 and Super Bomberman R Online.

Quoting: CorbenI guess if you have a native resolution of 1080p or higher but Stadia sends you 720p it will look quite blurry. If it's sharp, it should be the native resolution. At least I could see it directly, if it was not 1080p.

I use it often. How can I tell exactly if it's doing what you want to see? It runs excellently for me on my HTPCs and main rig on Ubuntu Mate 20.04 on Brave Browser.

I'm glad to see GOG doing well. I still pick up a few games from them but a lot of my money has been going to itch.io. I did recently pick up 3 games from GOG 2 of which were Linux native and one that was not but it's platinum with regular wine so it's all good.
If they bring Galaxy to Linux, I'm sure many would be happy but I don't want any launchers on my hardware.

I just junked my account. It's been awhile since I used the service and the games that I did have with them no longer get updates. Backed up my games and called it a day. It was fun while it lasted.

I feel the same way. I've been buying more and more from itch.io. They have a lot of DRM FREE titles I can not find anywhere else and many of their online MP games work in linux as is.

Quoting: GuestHumble used to be something quite different, and I stopped being terribly interested in it quite a while ago. Sure I've made the odd purchase, but rarely for games and instead ebooks.
Equally I'm not jumping up & down about it. It once was something I liked, now it's not, and that's really about it. Meh.
I much prefer to use patreon, itch.io, and purchases directly from developers these days.

Man. I am down for this. Most of my library is local MP and while online gaming is decent I really miss playing the games I like with my ppl. Parsec was good but no way to host on Linux. Steam Remote Play is OK but does not work all the time the last time I tried. Hamachi was been more and more difficult to get new ppl get on with. RetroArch's MP is also OK but does not work all the time. I also tried Antstream but did not have the library of games that I own and played all the time when my ppl and I were able to get together.
