Exactly what i was thinking !
It seems nice yeah, but i don't think i will play it. I will stay on Pharaoh/Zeus, even if it works through Wine.

Quoting: silmethLooks pretty similar to the Sierra games (Caesar 3, Zeus, Pharaoh, Emperor), at least the non-military part of game.

Hype !
Great memories from this game, even if i didn't finish it.
I hope the Linux port will be nice too, as DoTT is.

You can get Total War WARHAMMER for $12 in the current Humble Monthly Bundle

That's why i don't like to subscribe to Humble Monthly, plus the DRM-Free "problematic".
It could be great to have all the bundles only available on all OS (Windows, Mac, Linux).
And this can be applied to some Humble Bundles too, unfortunately...

Quoting: GuestI just subscribed to humble monthly last month. Yay. Unfortunately of the games available last month only 3 work on linux.

That's the thing, i don't use Steam, which is for me a DRM itself yes.
It's a DRM because you need to install their client on your PC to download/install any game.
I Buy my games on GOG, Humble Bundle or directly with devs on their website for example.
With these, you can download your game on their website directly. I would say, Humble Bundle is more "free" than GOG, because you don't even need to have an account to buy/downloads games, an email address only is required.

MAC and Linux Depots are FULL of DATA :P
Yeah it's Hitman releasing on the 31st of Jan sounds like. Just keep in mind the always-online DRM that this game has or will probably have. If they don't remove it now or eventually I definitely won't be supporting this one sadly.
I'm not alone. I was wondering why Feral (and others) don't release a DRM-Free Build, i would like to buy many games from them.
(Maybe i missed it)
Do you use steam to play said games because if you do you are already using a DRM system.

Jonathan Blow states he is open to a Linux port of The Witness with Vulkan, but never with OpenGL
27 January 2017 at 5:28 pm UTC
I could agree. But even when devs use a "multi-platform" engine, it doesn't mean they'll achieve a good Linux port, nor even a Linux port.
We saw that many times, and often 'cause doing a port mean at the same time support on this. And if the devs don't really understand the issues... The Linux Port is fu**ed.
(I was thinking of Unity for example).
Appart of that, i'm still thinking that make their own engine is a good idea. But i think it's not directly related to "simply supports linux", but it can be, or not.

I disagree. I don't like when people are reinventing the wheel. He could have used existing engine. He could have used engine that simply supports linux. That is the price of having your own engine. You have to do everyhing yourselve.

Some thoughts on switching from Ubuntu to Antergos for Linux gaming

I would say, i'm on Manjaro for what, many years i think. And for me (my configuration) it's pretty stable, seriously.
But yeah i understand some thoughts about it. I had some issues by some updates in the past, but nothing serious in long-term.
And like you guys, i love the AUR package, it's rare that a package isn't on the base.
In my case, i have Arch on my list "to try". And maybe i will stay on Arch later, but for now i'm ok with Manjaro.

It looks nice. I hope they will really release the Linux (and Mac) version.
I'm kind of tired of this nowadays.
