Wasn't there talk of a SDL1 -> SDL2 wrapper library? So older SDL games could also benefit from the newer library?

Quoting: slapinThat won't affect SDL1 games.

Ah, looks like that was in their pre-publishing days; it shows in this list:
https://store.steampowered.com/search/?developer=Wadjet%20Eye%20Games
That publisher doesn't look Linux-friendly:
https://store.steampowered.com/search/?publisher=PlayFirst
And ProtonDB says that game doesn't work. :(

Does it work with this particular video? As I recall, it just uses the embed version, which YouTube is now blocking apparently.
Edit: Ah, I see it has an option to proxy to a real/dummy user account.

Quoting: SwannyDoesn't help with embedded players but I use Simple YouTube Age Restriction Bypass with ViolentMonkey to avoid signing in to Youtube

Manufacturing compatible hardware seems like opening the door to lawsuits; Nintendo in particular likes to lawyer up. I hope it doesn't go that way, but I personally wouldn't want that liability. That said, as a potential consumer, I hope it is successful!

I haven't followed too closely; does anyone know the (technical? legal?) issues with the solution used in ProtonGE?

Quoting: CatKillerI hope this won't be an issue for the Steam Deck; that they'll have rolled out their re-encoding solution by the time the Deck ships.

log4j is a project under the Apache Foundation (along with many others, including OpenOffice). It's a logging tool written in Java, and used by a lot of Java apps. I assume Slay the Spire is written in Java.

Quoting: denyasisI'm actually curious about the log4j. I thought that was an Apache server vulnerability. What kind of server does this run? Or am I not understanding it right?

Doesn't it seem like they are starting this process rather late? Especially since it was originally supposed to ship in December?
Does SteamOS 3 count? :-p
My reservation is saying "After Q2" as well; I guess by that time there will be enough reviews to get a good idea of whether it's worth jumping in or waiting for an updated model.
