Minecraft server problems

By -
UPDATE: Looks like the new map may have to stay, the CPU use has gone right down since putting on the new map, that's the problem with playing a game that's in BETA!

Original:
It has come to my attention that we are having problems with our current server being up and down all time. It seems it is having massive CPU use.

As a test I will be changing the world (the current one won't be lost) to see if it is our current map creating the issues.

So if you log on, don't be alarmed, everything is backed up and i will attempt to put a copy of it online so anyone can grab it, hopefully in a couple days i can put it back on once i show the current host it's them and not our map (after switching the map the CPU use was still high...companies eh...don't want to do anything to help unless they reaaalllyyy have to!).

Edit > The CPU use actually has gone down by at least 20% since putting on a fresh map so it may be that our real map has just grown too big (minecraft is still in beta remember!).

So the new fresh map may have to stick, stay tuned for more info! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.
