Well, the thing is, [Monster Minis Extreme Off-Road](http://www.desura.com/games/monster-minis-extreme-off-road) only announced its planned (and worked on) Linux support, but no measurable effects so far...

You're right, my apologies. I didn't check it explicitly, I just trusted the bundle's page were this game is announced as supporting Linux. If there's no Linux support as of yet, I assume it must be right around the corner, since last January they announced they were close enough to a finished Linux version (source: Steam Greenlight page.

Anyway, one of the developers said on IndieGameStand's forums that this game was scheduled for being featured there pretty soon. I guess we can wait and see if there's a Linux version by then.

A Linux user for more than 10 years, I've just recently rediscovered the passion for gaming. Couldn't have chosen a better time than now: the second Golden Age of Linux gaming.

Haha, muntdefems, you're the best, dude!  :D

I went back and read my post again (before you'd replied) and thought that I'd probably waxed a bit nostalgic, showing my age... and worse, perhaps a bit boring.  And then I see this.  You've made my day!

I do truly believe that this Second Golden Age will be much better... it's not on the backs of a crushing AAA commercial market, where failed investment in risk is rewarded with the business version of crucifixion.  It's on the backs of lean and thrifty indie developers.

We do need to support these creative souls;  they carve out a sustainable niche in the business of gaming!  It is growing slowly as a bottom-up approach, and we're bringing on the middle-sized games houses now! Double Fine, inXile, Harebrained Schemes, Obsidian, Uber Entertainment, and even the (smallish) development division of Valve itself!

It does, however, start with the small indie developers... and there are some great folks represented in these bundles.  I, personally, can recommend The Journey Down: Chapter One, for any lover of adventure games.  Skygoblin are an absolutely tiny indie company (like four dudes in Sweden).

You're welcome, s_d! Always feels good to make people happy. :)

Me too. I bought it during the big Steam Linux sale and I must say it's a worthy successor of the great adventure classics of the '90s. The only drawback I found is that's so damn short. I wanted more! >< Looks like I'll have to wait for Chapter Two... :P

For just a few more euros I prefer to directly support them on Desura. Well, at least The Journey Down which is Flash and Steam free.

It hasn't been featured on IndieGameStand yet, but it's already available for Linux on Desura. ^_^
