Desura and what annoys me

By -
Just want to bring to light this forum post I made on Desura's forum first of all, but don't go there until you read this article.
http://www.desura.com/forum/thread/linux-32bit-and-64bit-seperation

Something that really annoys me about Desura is that Linux's 32bit and 64bit games are separated, I seem to miss games completely because when I am logged in it picks me up as 64bit so any game tagged 32bit (and not 64bit as well) I won't see without directly knowing it exists to search for it.

Considering when you go to a game it notes what platform it supports as well in the form of Linux icons for 32bit and 64bit. Not to mention that 64bit Linux can play both 32bit and 64bit games.

It's just plain wrong in my opinion.

Livalink a game I now love and own on Desura still doesn't show up even though I own it, I have to go to either my games list that I own or search for it.

Does anyone else think this is a big issue?

I wanted to bring this to light as I love Desura and what they do for indie's but I can't help but think they need to put a bit more love into their website (and client but that's a whole other story..). Something like this is trivial to fix on a website, it should be a case of adjusting their database query to not filter out 32bit games.

If you agree with me please chime in on the linked forum post at the top of this article.

Update: You can fix it yourself manually by going here http://www.desura.com/platforms/selection and going to Linux but it's not solving a bigger issue - people who get lumped into the 64bit selection and don't know about that page are still stuck. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I could care less about 32/64. What annoyed me was the constant announcing to me via tweats an emails of new Windows games.
