PPSSPP An Open Source Sony PSP Emulator

By -
So if you are a fan of Sony's PSP and love emulation you have a chance at playing some of the games on your Linux box thanks to PPSSPP.

Technobabble - it is written in C++, and translates PSP CPU instructions directly into optimized x86, x64 and ARM machine code, using JIT recompilers (dynarecs). That's good right?

Luckily the project is open source (github link) so you can compile it yourself or you can use one of the unofficial builds found here.

It is great to see projects like this, I would hate for older consoles (and the games) to get lost because the creators no longer make or support them.

This is the first PSP emulator I know of as well and it's open source too so I hope it keeps the PSP on PC alive!
