DUELYST Squad-Based Tactical Combat Announces Linux Support With First Stretch Goal, I Asked Why

Previously DUELYST wasn't going to include Linux support at all, now the developers have stated it will be in their first stretch goal due to "overwhelming demand", so I dug deeper.

When asking why it was a stretch goal:

It is hard to argue with the extra time and resources needed if a company wants to properly test it and dedicate time to it themselves. It does mean in theory Linux would get a properly rounded port.

The more I think about stretch-goals for Linux, the less I hate them. Although I do still wish Linux was closer to the front of developers minds when they start a project, but that won't happen until we get a bigger market share.

The first stretch goal is $88K which now includes the mentioned Linux support. The good news is that they are extremely close to being funded and trending to way way over even that stretch goal.
