In a world where creativity has given way to conflict, a young street kid living in the slums of Colortown seeks to restore the spark of imagination to his hometown. As Koru, you must harness the power of color to defeat the Bleakness and make Colortown vibrant once again.

You guys know I am not the biggest fan of platformers, but when it is in 3D, and looks as fancy as this with combat included then you have me sold.

We have been graced with a review key and I fully intend to give you guys a video of The Last Tinker, once the release is out that is as sadly their is no pre-release Linux version.

They say it will grace you with 8 hours of fun colour (yes, colour I am British, not that crazy other spelling) filled gaming.

It is slated for release this "summer", so they haven't given us a set date yet.

About
Help the young boy Koru save Tinkerworld from the all-devouring Bleakness. Use the power of those colors to aggravate (red), frighten (green) and grieve (blue) your enemies as you manipulate them to solve logical puzzles and overcome various obstacles.

Explore the beautifully handcrafted districts of Colortown with agile Koru in free-running fashion and meet various fantastical and charming creatures. Return the colors to Tinkerworld in this tale about the power and beauty of imagination.

The Last Tinker: City of Colors is the “Best Project 2012″ of the “Selected Project Contest” at Game Connection Europe 2011 and partially funded by the FFF Bayern! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Yess, platforming.
Handling looks a lot like Psychonauts: rails, automatically grabbing bars, a stomp-punch.

Oh, I thought it was a 2.5D game, now I'm less intrigued XD Don't get me wrong, Psychonauts is one of my favorite games of all time, but the platforming was not one of its strong points.
