Kill Fun Yeah has recently been released on Steam and after spending some time with it I have done a Linux game-play video and given you some thoughts on it.
Linux game-play video, no chatting on it as my microphone is broken

When you look at the games screen-shots and description it really doesn't make you expect much, but expect to be as surprised as I was. Kill Fun Yeah is actually a delightfully insane online action game full of crazy weapons and lots of blood. Rather appropriately you can play as a penguin (Just look at my hat!), so I did of course which made it that little bit more amusing, although seeing someone whose character was inside a what looked like a garbage bin was hilarious.
It features a crazy assortment of weapons from lasers that you can bounce the beams around rooms with, or big smelly armpits to sling flies at people it's just chock full of crazy. The grenades with different effects are also fun, one I'm even pretty sure makes you drunk and your weapon sway. The only weapon I dislike is what looks like a golden rifle with a tennis racket strapped to the front of it, as it shocks people up close and it's crap.
It gets more interesting once you realise you can place blocks all over the place too, you can try to block your "flag" in on their crazy capture the flag modes, although they don't call it flag it's always something silly.
The only problem this game suffers is currently a lack of players, but it hasn't been on Steam for long so we can forgive it for that, but it could make finding games difficult although as of yet i've not had any trouble find a game. I have found it difficult to find games with enough players in to really enjoy it at times, but again it's new so it's the player count problem again.
If you like insane fun like me then I can easily recommend this one, the more that buy it the more chance I have to play it too!
I asked the developers about future plans and they had this to say:
Go check it out on Steam now.

QuoteWe are certainly planning on continuing to improve and expand the game, provided that there is a desire for that from the players, and we still feel that there are a lot of things that could be added to make the game more interesting.
Of course it is not completely realistic and can be hard to justify to keep putting a ton of time into something with very little financial compensation, but we hope that with the game now being on Steam we will be able to reach out to a broader audience.
Go check it out on Steam now.
