Hand of Fate is now in Steam's Early Access section for those of you willing to front some bucks to get it on the action. The game is described as a hybrid roguelike/action-RPG/deck builder and it looks rather pretty too.

I absolutely love the concept of this I can't say I've ever seen something done like this. I've seen plenty of card based games that bring units to life on the board itself for turn-based action, but nothing that brings all the cards to life for you to face off against using whatever cards you have yourself.

About
Hand of Fate is a deck building, action RPG where the cards come to life. Inspired by tarot and fantasy, all bets are off as you create your own journey by building a collection of cards used to deal out a boardgame-like dungeon teeming with enemies, treasure and adventure. Upon entering combat, the cards come to life as the player is propelled into a beautiful 3D environment to brawl it out with the foes of the land. Draw your cards, play your hand, and discover your fate.

Features
* Tabletop card game brought to vivid life.
* A unique take on roguelike gameplay.
* Visceral action-RPG combat.
* Game changing gear and items make every play through unique.
* Hundreds of encounters, items, armour, weapons, artifacts, and mysteries to unlock.
* Unique deck building mechanics let you customise your own adventure, as you seek to defeat the Jack, Queen and King of each suit.

It also has full gamepad support and they recommend something like the 360 controller, so a good game to kick back into your sofa with.

Looks very well done. It's tempting even though I am not into deck-building

I've been playing this game since builds were made available to Kickstarter backers and it's been great to watch it evolve. When I first got my hands on it, it was already pretty solid so far as premise and core concepts go.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how it changes as we push towards release (release of the full game) - I fully expect the Steam Early Access launch to ramp up the rate at which the rough edges will be smoothed out.

This game really is great. They are quick to fix bugs as well.
