The winter themed puzzler is the latest invention by one of the creators of the clever puzzle game Sokobond, Alan Hazelden, and it will be released on Steam "before winter's end", according to the teaser website.

The gameplay trailer shows a monster building snowmen, and apparently this simple formula is the recipe for some season appropriate fun, because it looks interesting. As in real life, you have to stack three differently sized balls of snow on top of each other. You'll want to arrange them with the biggest on the bottom, and to do so you can increase the size of a ball by rolling it over a tile covered in snow. Rolling a ball towards an adjacent bigger ball enables you to stack them. When you've put the third, smallest ball on top, you have created your snowman.

In games like these, the challenge lies in planning ahead and making sure you don't run out of moves by moving objects into positions you can't get them out of. It's a game where the problem is straight-forward, but one that can often be very difficult to solve. Last year we mentioned Chuck's Challenge 3D when it released on Desura. Besides that one there aren't many of these puzzles games with good production values available that I know of, so this upcoming game is a welcome addition.

In addition to Alan Hazelden, the game is created by Benjamin Davis (graphics) and Ryan Roth (sound). Ryan Roth was responsible for music and sound design on Sokobond too, and has been involved with sound design on other well-known games, such as Starseed Pilgrim and Electronic Super Joy.
