Street Rage is the video game tie-in to the 80s style action comedy flick Kung Fury, which was funded on Kickstarter last year. The movie is an over the top play on 80s tropes that is a bit too silly for my taste, but might still be a good watch while knocking down a few beers with friends. It's available for free on Steam and YouTube:

The game is developed by Hello There, and is similar to last year's indie success One Finger Death Punch, which is only available for Windows. You fight off hordes of enemies using only two buttons for left and right attacks, and the trick is to rack up massive combos and never miss a hit.

It's more difficult than it sounds, since enemies attack with irregular intervals from both sides and many enemies take severals hits to bring down. You only have three lives, and they can easily be lost in seconds when enemies start piling up around you. Some opponents also dodge your hits, which might make you throw that one last fatal punch into thin air that throws off your timing and gets you killed. You start a new game in seconds though, and combined with the fast-paced action and simple controls, it makes for some very addictive gameplay.

If a cheap arcade style brawler sounds like something for you, you'll find Kung Fury: Street Rage on Steam

A pity they still didn't release it on GOG. I'll try contacting them again.

Yeah, a DRM free version would be great. There's a wishlist item for the game, but none for the movie short.

Oh, I didn't find that for some reason. (Probably misspelled it.) Thanks.
