The trailer was relased last month, and with the release just a few weeks away, it's time to get hyped for this great looking gravity platformer.

It's been over a year since the game was greenlit for distribution on Steam in a batch of 75 games with 37 Linux games. Several of those games have long since been released, including Pier Solar, Boson X, Whispering Willows and You Have to Win the Game.

Airscape: The Fall of Gravity is a gravity platformer, where you jump from planet to planet and dive through masses of water, each with their own gravity. It does look a bit like the Super Mario Galaxy games, though as an insanely smooth looking 2D platformer that I almost can't wait to play.

The game has been developed with the HTML5-based Construct 2 engine, which was also used for arcade racer The Next Penelope and space extravaganza Cosmochoria, and is being used for upcoming point-and-click adventure The Slaughter.

About the game (Official)

AIRSCAPE: THE FALL OF GRAVITY is an upcoming action platformer about an octopus lost in a strange and dangerous world. Created by a team of students from around the world, Airscape combines innovative gravity mechanics, devious obstacles, and questionable physics. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

A big fan of platformers, puzzle games, point-and-click adventures and niche indie games.

I run the Hidden Linux Gems group on Steam, where we highlight good indie games for Linux that we feel deserve more attention.

This looks absolutely incredible. Like a modern day Mario Galaxy. Insta-buy from me.

I've been testing this game and am loving it to pieces. It's got a great mix of challenge and charm. I particularly enjoy the sense of momentum that some levels have. Daniel and the team have done some fantastic work :)

That's nice to hear. :) Like scaine, I plan on buying it on launch, and it looks like a game that will take priority over everything else for me.
