SOMA, a horror title I am super excited about looks like it will have a day-1 Linux port thanks to Knockout Games.

For those wondering, thanks to @knockoutgames, SOMA is pretty much 100% penguin compatible now aswell! pic.twitter.com/OkpkpBV6Y5

If you don't remember, Knockout Games is run by a fellow named Aaron who finished the Shadow Warrior Linux port.

We interviewed Aaron from Knockout Games before, so go take a look!

Getting exciting now!

Ps. Please don't make me livestream it. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

So I am guessing this is another one that Edward Rudd passed on to Aaron then, as he ported Penumbra and Amnesia and started the Shadow Warrior port before Aaron finished it. It is a good thing that we are getting some new blood when it comes to the Linux porting scene, as the old hands do seem to be getting a little overworked.

This is great news, the Shadow Warrior port is excellent, top tier porting job. Day 1 purchase for me.

Looking forward to this one! Aaron has done a good job with ports in the past.

Just a month to go until I get to play this... in 30 minute spurts... after which I turn the game off, walk away, and tell myself that it's only a game to calm myself down. At least that's how I played Amnesia: The Dark Descent. ;)

There will be a boxed edition with linux binaries inside?

Thanks!

I am so looking forward for this game. The only thing I'm a little disappointed with is that the game is playing in an underwater base- and that I know it already. I would've preferred it to be in space. Also, I would have preferred to find out by myself that it isn't a space game. That's the disadvantage of watching YouTube videos.

Quoting: Comandante oardoDay1 buy on GOG.

Speaking of which, I am still waiting for them to put the Linux versions of Penumbra up on GOG. I do own the them already on Desura, but, you know...
