Today GOL asks: what have you been playing on Linux, and what do you think about it?

I've personally been playing a lot of OpenRA, which I think I may have an addiction to. Really love the classic Westwood RTS games, I just wish the AI was a little better.

We had some fun playing Left 4 Dead 2 last night as well, such a good solid game. Great fun to play with friends, even if we did utterly fail at putting fuel in the car at the end of a certain level. Stupid Tank.

Now that the XCOM 2 patch and DLC is out I am also very much looking forward to getting back to kicking alien ass.

This coming week I am hoping to polish up our statistics page some more and include a resolution picker too. Along with general bug fixing of the website I am also planning to continue rolling out more features and new sections, but more on that later.

So many games, so little time!

Also, again, thanks for all the support on Patreon! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Dota 2. There is plenty of custom games that are very funny
The only drawback is the fact that hammer is not available under linux

that's it. My library has quite lots of games, but well, I enjoy robbing banks.
Even if it is a serious waste of time, I see people with more than 5000+ hours of active gameplay. I mean...that's more than half a year 24/7 of Payday2 ? So I'm still pretty normal, having just 300 hours, since it is 1st day on Linux.

Pretty fun if you can deal with perma death.

Duskers, a great Indie strategy game (I just recently wrote a review about it here).

Apart from that, Pillars of Eternity on Path of the Damned and Expert difficulty, which is a great challenge.

Though all in all I don't have much time for gaming these days, too much RL stuff to distract me.

F1 2015

Finished Teslagrad and Braid this weekend. Both are very nice and fun to play Puzzle Platformers.
Furthermore i am still busy with Alien: Isolation which is pretty awesome and the visually most impressive game I played on Linux so far.
On a regularly base i am playing Counterstrike Global Offensive, which is great as long as you have some nice premates to play with.

Satellite Reign is amazingly challenging and fun.
Mount & Blade: Warband is fun, although getting my stats up to the point where I can consistently besiege towns takes a while.
Baldur's Gate: EE is a bit more fun than the original, as I prefer the BG2 system, will be interesting when I get my character to BG2:EE.
Pillars of Eternity is less fun than BG:EE for some reason. Taking a page from MrBtongue's book, I suppose the game is too balanced.

Also played all through A Little Lily Princess recently, it's a bit softer than the book, but it's still a neat little timesink.

I've also been trying to get Divine Divinity: Original Sin working, but I fear I might need to run a Debian derivative, in which case it probably won't be worth the pain and humiliation.

I was playing CS:GO last week for many hours and yesterday I played Tomb Raider finally :)
Kohrias Jun 5, 2016
Dota 2 has always been a thing for me in the past years ;-) In addition I have started to play Divinity Original Sin EE coop with a friend of mine - fantastic game!

I'd really like to continue with XCOM2 and Tomb Raider but I am lacking the time ...

Divinity Original Sin : EE

Works perfectly on my Arch Setup on a GTX 670 FTW+.

Was playing Alien : Isolation earlier, easily pulls above 60 FPS consistently (vsync off so it spikes up to 100+ at times) on ultra with chromatic aberration on.

Binged Metro Last Light earlier this month. Really enjoyed it. I love shooters in theory, but hate it when you're forced into heavy combat. Metro, Stalker, and Hitman are perfect for me because they allow me to play a more cerebral game full of stealth and important decisions. Yet oddly I hate "stealth games." I'm a complicated fellow. Lol

Now I'm onto Sunless Sea. Lost my first captain to an ice monster. My second is fairing better but is a bit of a cannibal and has terrible nightmares. Loving this game.

Sword coast legend.

I was playing Dying Light the Following in coop with my wife but unfortunately, coop is not working anymore.

Last week American Truck Sim with the new Arizona map. Other than that I've been doing X-Plane, Shadow of Mordor and The Talos Principle.

Company of Heroes 2, just began to love the british forces and I love it...

Well and PAYDAY 2, just because it's awesome to make a f*** ton of cash by being a dangerous jerk :D

Finished Metro 2033 Redux, and played through Metro Last Light Redux, I think they are awesome games, atmospheric and really fun.
Now started playing STALKER: Call of Pripyat (running in Wine), so far I like it, although I only got a few hours into it.
Tomorrow Hearts of Iron 4 will come out, and I'm pretty sure that will keep me busy for weeks :)
(I also played some games on Windows, but I think I'll leave that out here ;) )

DOTA2 ranked, I am pretty much addicted.

Also, Bound by Flame. Very nice looking action RPG, I remember Liam streaming it. Seems quite cheap, but it is certainly enjoyable!
Tinche Jun 5, 2016
Let's see.

Darkest Dungeon. It's great!

Stellaris. It's great!

Saint's Row: The Third. Fun but some weird performance glitches?

Factorio. It's pretty good!

Waiting on the Rocket League launch. Got it via the latest Humble monthly.
bolokanar Jun 5, 2016
Started Shadow Warrior (2013) today. It's definitely not something that I've played so far.
codyaj1995 Jun 5, 2016
Two Worlds and Sauerbraten mostly. Two worlds turned out to be a much better game than I was expecting! Pretty fun multiplayer to!
And a little Divinity Original Sin also!
