Looking at the trailer, it does give the impression that the game is quite stylish, but honestly I found the graphical style to be a little odd. Grim for sure, since you're coming up against all kinds of weird looking creatures, but it's not the best looking. I've seen plenty of games go for stylish rather than realism, but the enemies all seem too flat and boring.
Part of the problem with the gameplay, is that it constantly tries to overwhelm you, there's no set amount of enemies or waves. They just continue to respawn from certain points that you cannot seem to stop. You end up just trying to speed through it due to this without being able to take in your surroundings. It makes it repeatedly frustrating dying in the same parts due to previously cleared areas suddenly being populated again, and then you have the previous area and the next area full of enemies all trying to eat you.
It mentions in the feature list that each enemy has a specific type of behaviour, but all I saw was the same thing. All enemies trying to get as close as possible and surround me. Sure, they have different attack sometimes, but they all essentially do exactly the same thing.
It has nice music, but the rest of the sound design is quite lacking. Shooting your different weapons are mostly a rather quiet pew-pew sound, a lot of enemies dying sounds like someone quietly screwing up a bag of crisps and so on. The sound design just isn't all that good.
Thankfully, it works great with the Steam Controller on the recommended config. It feels good to play too, so that's a notch in it's favour.
Overall, I am sad to say, that I found it mediocre as a twin-stick shooter it just lacked any real excitement or oomph to it.

I really like the look of this one. Sad, though, that you found it mediocre. Maybe the devs will polish it up a bit more?
I will probably still pick it up on sale. Crows are awesome...

I know this question is kind of pointless, but . . .
Why does a crow in a dark fantasy setting shoot stuff that looks like bullets and blaster bolts and lasers and sometimes get a force field? Shouldn't it shoot, like, arrows or snapping crow beaks or lightning bolts or the energy spirits of dead bugs that home on your enemies and zap/exorcise them so they turn transparent and fade out, or stuff like that? And instead of a forcefield get surrounded by a glowy pentagram thing or something?

I feel rather terrible. I got in on the beta on this game, and haven't had a chance to give it a thorough playing. Been meaning to play it with my brother, since that is the majority of my gaming time.
