This is awesome to see, people in the community have sent both Feral Interactive & Aspyr Media some little care packages full of treats.
Since Aspyr Media have yet to bring us the new Civilization game, it looks like Linux users have been guilt-tripping the porters into speeding up, or just sending them into a sugar coma.
So... this came in the mail this morning. Thank you, you lovely Linux people you. The guilt trip has been accepted. ;D #NomNomNom pic.twitter.com/c4VaOOIXWJ

The Aspyr Linux Team would like to offer their thanks. As would the majority of the company. We love us some @tiffstreats ! pic.twitter.com/f7fQsyumkb

Who can forget Feral Interactive? The porting team that has been pushing out port after port!
Thanks @beefsack, we just received your tasty cupcakes! Here's a 'before' pic of our devs tucking in... we'll spare you the messy aftermath. pic.twitter.com/6jtlrSgTD9

Good stuff community people, more of this please!
You would be surprised how much sending your thanks actually helps, people are too quick to send hate to developers who take extra time to get things done. Developers are human too remember.
:'( What about Virtual Programming, they need love too. They brought us:
* Saints Row (all of them)
* Bioshock Infinite
* Spec Ops: The Line
Too bad they aren't as active in the community, wish they were. That would be the missing piece of the triumvirate.
+ Dirt Showdown.
Plus VP has improved a lot the quality of their wraper/ports.

Haha, Ryan Gordon will be so pissed when he sees this. :) But I think, the days are gone, when 1-2 people can port, these games are huge! (and still Shadow Warrior is awesom)
I think I have games from both companies, they really deserve our prase and money for the job, they are doing. I lost - happily - countless hours with their games.
We should send him and Tim some cookies when we get SFV... Rocket League is great though
Like said before also the teams working on the major gaming-engines in favor of linux have to be thanked.
I started some time after steamos was avaiable first and I know a lot of ppl are dissapointed of the little effort valve takes for this whole thing.
But am I wrong to say all this positive developement across the gaming-scene of linux started with steamos? Really dont know. Just started to use this awesome OS since then. 100%
Edit: not 100%. Stupid software for tax returns is my last reason for dual boot once a year
I don't know what country you are but there should be something similar..
As a Canadian, i use https://turbotax.intuit.com/ ...

I suppose there is something similar in your country... ?
And all praise to Feral and Aspyr, just bought Shadow of Mordor yesterday (still downloading this huge thing with my crappy countryside DSL :D ) and working through Tomb Raider at the moment. Can't wait for Mad Max! And please give as Shadow Warrior 2!

In Germany, I'm using "Elster Formular" under PlayOnLinux (the only program I'm using WINE for).
PS: Don't you have to love tax authorities for naming their software after the magpie, which traditionally is seen as a thief in our and other countries?!? :)
Why don't we, at GoL, start a donation thingy where we can put a pound, dollar or whatever, in every now and then and once it gets to a certain value, sweet treats of some kind are sent to porters?
I'd be in. Don't forget the Linuxers at Valve.
See more from me
