Grab your gloves and your lockpick as the next elusive target is live for HITMAN [Steam], this time you're attempting to take out The Bookkeeper.
For those that don't know, elusive targets are time limited challenges that really test your ability to think on your feet. You're given limited Intel and a single life in which to finish the challenge. You have 6 days to attempt it until it's gone!
It has landed day-1 on Linux as you can see from my screenshot, so it's great that Feral continue to be prompt with the updates for HITMAN.
How long have you poured into it?

this is a tough one, he has 4 guards and you will want the silent-assassin reward for some extras.
has anyone successful tactics on this? I am trying to clean-sweep the first floor in the main building and then to lure his escorts one by one into the bathroom to silently kill them. but this takes ages, as one can pacify just one escort at a time and it takes several minutes until they come along again.

By the way, do we have any confirmation that Season 2 will also be ported?
I played S1 for 40h by now, and probably at least half of that time I've been doing bonus missions (both 100%'d) and challenges (still a long way to go) in Sapienza, my favourite setting.

But the same could happen in real life, right? ;-)
I only had a chance to try one elusive target so far (the surgeons), I spent some time getting to know the facility, then following the targets to learn their routines and I actually found a great opportunity - or so I thought. I spotted the doctor alone in the garden, leaning over the railing. I looked around carefully to make sure that nobody is watching, and I pushed him over. One thing I failed to notice was that the heliport security on the far end of the chasm had it in their field of view. A few seconds later I found myself outgunned in a corner of the garden, elusive target failed... well, at least I did half the job done, I wonder how I will manage the current one, haven't attempted it yet.

Aaaaand I failed the elusive target mission, as expected. I did manage to kill the target, but I failed to escape. Dude just had security all over him like a cheap suit at all times, I couldn't figure out a way to kill him unnoticed. Oh well, I'll try to do better on the next elusive target.

My first elusive target attempt was a success :) I was nervous since I'm used to having the god of saves to resurrect me, but luckily I'd done well enough on the Colorado map before so I could smuggle a sniper rifle onto the water tower. Went straight there, popped the target without a second thought, which put everyone a bit on edge XD Things nearly went tits up a few times after that, running off after getting spotted and the occasional gunfight here and there, but I eventually got to the safe (this is a lot harder when everything's location isn't marked!), got the ledger, and legged it out of there ^^

I swear I never died from pressing the wrong button.

I thought after 70+ hours in game I'd be good enough to get a single target like him, even with all the security round him, boy was I wrong, another failed attempt here ending with my hitman face down in the dirt. I really hope they re-release all these elsuive targets into the wild after they get season 2 under way, even if it's a paid DLC I want another crack at them.

This is what's making it sound really exciting. How long will they provide new special missions like this? Should I get Hitman soon? :)

It is the most exciting game I've played in a while, the early missions are pretty simple, but then it gets way harder & Colorado is a legitimate nightmare to get through, I was stuck on Colorado for 5 days before I finally cracked it & then Hokkaido, the final mission, took me only a couple of hours after that. These Elusive Targets are the game slapping you & saying "you think you've got what it takes? think again". 75hours in with the main storyline finished & I'm still not good enough for the latest Elusive Target. My first elusive target attempt was a success :) I was nervous since I'm used to having the god of saves to resurrect me

Elusive Targets are Generally once a month for ~7-10 days. They are frustrating, but damn fun.

I put a gas canister near the door of the house on the inside, waited for him to go Downstairs (not up, that part's important!), then shot it from the adjacent server room with a silenced pistol as soon as he goes next to it.
