The very brutal and fun dungeon crawler will get its first expansion quite soon. Thematically about vampires and their damned ilk, there will be plenty of new content and new enemies that can tear you to pieces.
Darkest Dungeon [Official Site] is known for being a difficult experience where characters face off against all sorts of unnatural and unholy monsters in an effort to reclaim the estate that is yours by birthright. It’s a game where character’s grasp on reality can slip with enough stress and terror and it’s a pretty good dungeon crawling experiencing to boot. It’s a game I had a lot of fun with last year despite (or because of) its generally unforgiving learning curve and myriad of cruel ways to lose characters.
The Crimson Court adds a dungeon region, The Courtyard, which naturally comes with a whole host of new enemy types. More interestingly, new enemies will also appear in old areas, mixing things up as the “Crimson Curse” spreads over the estate. Given a lot of the artwork seems to include blood-sucking monsters, it doesn't take much imagination to make the connection to vampirism. One of the new bosses wanders about, looking like an absolutely deranged vampire-hunting priest and seeks to exterminate the curse; seems it’s fair to say that keeping an eye on the afflictions of your crew is more important than ever.

Updates earlier this year also added new free content to the game. The “Radiant” mode allows for a shorter, but not easier, playthrough was part of the last big update. There have also been additions of new enemies, treasures and all those other goodies that dungeon explorers love. Not to mention mod and Steam Workshop support.
I’m looking forward to seeing how The Crimson Court turns out, as it’s a good excuse to get back into the challenging and fun world of Darkest Dungeon. You can also check out Liam’s thoughts on the game when it launched.

This game is amazing. I'm playing it for awhile and that is definition of quality indie gaming. (To me at least)

Nooooooooooo! I've lost so much time to this game.
But I am looking forward to losing yet more time to it.

I have bought the original game few months ago and I am really disappointed. It is broken = unplayable, I can't click on anything (mouse clicks are ignored) and only 1/4 of 4k screen is used. They promised to fix it, but it's a few months now and it's still broken.
Can't recommend buying games from this company, their approach is awful...

Oh and the name doesn't mean anything but coincidentally could be pronounced as "Buttery" which suits me just fine.
