Developer DONTNOD has announced that they are working on another Life is Strange title! Exciting, considering how much I enjoyed the Linux port.

Check out their announcement in this video:

Also announced in this blog post.

They said they've been working on a new Life is Strange since they released the boxed version, so it's been in development for a while already.

You can find my original review and port report on Life is Strange here.

Hopefully Feral Interactive are on good terms with DONTNOD so that we will see it ported to Linux, here's to hoping! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

This is great news. I immensely enjoyed the first parts of the game, especially the first 2 episodes were incredible. The more it became a butterfly-effect-like story though, the less comfortable I felt. That doesn't necessarily mean it was bad, just not how I would prefer the story to unfold. I would still recommend it to anyone and would definitely love to see a sequel.

Awesome! Now I have a proper goal to finish the first one xD

Wow! What a huge stream of wishful thinking! No indication the game will even be on Linux, yet, some people already calling this "great news"…

"The Withcher 3", anyone? Or should I say "Unreal Tounament 3"?

Of course there's no guarantee, but at least we know that the developers are open to Linux ports and Feral has a connection to them. My guess is that Life is Strange sold well on Linux.
I'm optimistic on this one.
For reasons, not due to whishful thinking.

Quoting: KimyrielleMassive spoilers in there. I mean it.

- Because the ending invalidated every single choice you made in the game. No matter what you did, it's in the end all pointless. Nothing you ever did in the game mattered.

Chloe says it did.

Yes, right -before- Max rolled back time. The two weeks she spent with Max got erased from history a moment later, remember? She died in the bathroom. She did NOT spend any time reconnecting to her old friend and never grew as a person. The entire game DIDN'T HAPPEN.

She knew that when she said it. Call it timelines are whatever, but it did happen to her and she, although she knew it would be "rewinded", considered it important.

Vampyr will be a test of good will. If it's not on Linux, we can forget about LiS 2 probably.

I guess it's more up to Square Enix than DONTNOD if the game gets ported, but I might be mistaken. SE seemed to be very Linux friendly as of late, so that's grounds for hope. The one thing that made me pause is them not porting Rise of the Tomb Raider, despite they brought the first one to Linux. I wonder why they didn't.

That's so cool, can't wait to play :)

Good to use the Spoiler function to avoid spoiling the game for people that haven't played it yet:

I just shared some plot info which you won't know unless you finished the game.
