The announcement is here, where it seems you do still need to opt-in to a beta with a password of "torvalds1969" and then select "linux test 1". I imagine it will be pushed into the main download within a few days. Their wording on it all is a little confusing, since it's had a beta for a long time and they now announce it's available, but you still need a beta.
According to the announcement, there are some issues with non-English languages. It looks like if you have issues, you can switch it to English, load a saved game and then switch the language back (source).

Although I like the fact developers keep publishing games for Linux, horror is not for me. I'll pass.
It's not so bad.
Don't think of this as alien isolation.
It's more mild and atmospheric.

Like there are "English languages" (i.e. English somehow became a category)…
Sorry to be a "Grammar Nazi", but I think "languages, other than English" would be more appropriate.

Don't think of this as alien isolation.I hate that f***ing Xenomorph. Sadly, I decided to "shrink" my Pile o' Shame by playing all the games that I haven't played yet in alphabetical order. Guess what. :|

Also, there is British English and American English, so languages is correct. Especially when I don't agree they are the same ;)

Very very cool. The Brotherhood has been very active to get this to work properly. They were depending on updates from the engine developer so it was a bit of back and forth until all game breaking bugs had been fixed.
"Unfortunately" I already bought it, when it was in Linux beta... but it was bought from the Steam Linux client, so it should count as a Linux sale ;)

Still haven't played Amneisa.
Maybe with a little bit of dutch courage (aka booze) will attempt it one day.
But this Stasis game has a good environment and atmosphere , only a few scary moments , more opressive by isolation and weird setting than outright being chased by monster #0x11359

It is a magic how "Internet-aware" people get accustomed to filtering certain things on certain places (like not paying attention to page sides, headers or in this case, "something between posts", because that's where advertisement usually is). This button simply blurred in my vision. :-( Will use it from now on.

For those wondering about a DRM free version I got an email from the developers stating they intend to bring the Linux version of STASIS to GOG but are just working through some issues first.

I don't think that implies what you're saying it implies. The usage may be a bit odd or clumsy-feeling if you think hard, but the actual grammar seems sound. You're treating it as if it's "English languages" with a "non" loosely attached, but the hyphen makes "non-English" into a single word, and it's the whole thing which is attached to "language/s", so clearly it has to be plural.
And I think "languages, other than English" would be bad style.

This is an excellent game, if you're not sure if you will like it you can download CAYNE, a companion game, that is free. Its like a short version of Stasis that has a sideline story and uses the same engine/gameplay.
As others have said, the small team of developers have worked really hard to bring this to Linux.

Because you need to choose it from the beta branch. It is explained in the 22 June news post.

It simply hasn't been shifted over to their main branch. I've bought it and it shows up on my SteamOS/Linux library listing, and by all accounts, runs in Linux. (I've not installed and played it yet.)
