Nantucket, the rather interesting seafaring strategy game from Picaresque Studio now has a Linux version on GOG that was released today. The Linux version was officially released earlier this month after a few months of being in beta, so it's good to see a GOG release have a reasonably quick turnaround.

I've spent a few hours in it now and found that it's a little engrossing. It's a little on the slow side and the random factor to it can be an issue at times, but overall it seems like a fun strategy game. The Linux version does seem to work really nicely, haven't had any issues jump out at me.

So now you DRM free GOG fans can grab it too. Otherwise, it's also on Humble Store and Steam.

I haven't played it yet, but I already own it on Steam. I'm not sure if it was an error, but I got it from Humble for $4.04 (after my monthly 10% discount), which was cheap enough to lure me away from GOG.

I'm gonna have to look for gameplay videos or streams. The trailer doesn't quite show me where my time would be spent.
