INSOMNIA: The Ark, the crowdfunded sci-fi RPG from Mono Studio released for Windows at the end of September, it's still missing the promised Linux version which they've now spoken about.

Here's what they said in their latest Kickstarter update:

We've been asked about the Linux and Mac versions of the game ever since INSOMNIA launched. First of all, we can assure you that this is still a thing and we haven’t changed our plans regarding these platforms.

However, since we are currently working on fixing and improving core parts of the game, bringing two more versions of INSOMNIA to the table would mean even more time spent on testing and bug fixes before each game update. Even now, with only the Windows version available, the patch release process is taking longer than we would like to.

It's not great that we're now almost two months into the release with no Linux support. However, it's quite clear the game has some rather large issues. Do we want a Linux version, full of issues both in terms of bugs and major gameplay mechanics having problems? Or, do we be patient and wait for it to be more polished? I know which one I would choose. They sound clearly committed to it, but time is ticking.

In regards to a release on GOG, it sounds like they need to improve the game before GOG allow it on their store.

Thanks Naib.
