A bit of an odd one to put a title to, Agitate [itch.io] from solo developer Tay has you build plants and try to survive the coming of the Hoomans.

More about it from the developer:
Agitate is a twist on traditional city-building games. Keep your ecosystem thriving while the Hoomans, a bunch of settlers, try to monopolize the land.
The main focus is to deliver an atmospheric experience as well as allowing reflection towards earth's current condition.
Agitate is currently endless, the goal is to keep your environment alive as long as possible. If there's not enough vegetation on the island you'll lose the game.
I have to admit, I really love the idea behind this one. We have a lot of building, survival and city-builder games but nothing really quite like Agitate. It's one game I would love to see an expanded version of! The simplicity of it with the setting is lovely.
The developer actually reached out directly about this one, as they're currently making a new small game each month funded by their Patreon with Agitate being their first release of 2019. All their games are available on Linux and can be found on itch.io.
Quoting: PatolaThe idea is indeed nice, the execution seems ok, but I think being endless will put off lots of people, me included.Yeah, it'd be nice to be able to win. Exterminate the Hoomans!

exterminate! EXTERMINATE!!
Ok, that's out of my system.

I thought, "Ooooo the reverse of a city-builder game is---a city-WRECKING game!? Sign me up! I'd want to play a game where the universe (me) conspires to wreck civilization through everything from power-plant or crop failures contributing civil-unrest, extended rains backing up sewers, whatever. Oh, and sinkholes! The earth just opening up a mouth and sucking down a building or three? Nom, nom, nom! Hee hee!
Ah well, I wouldn't mind being a plant, (but please note: if I'm ever a vegetable I've told friends and family, so I'll tell y'all: take me off life support.)

I did think of stuff like this, but in a month my time was quite limited, and doing such stuff was just another layer of complexity ^^''
I just want to mention that I'm getting some great feedback so far and I personally really liked that idea, so I might make a bigger version and improve on this idea ? who knows
