Firaxis Games, Aspyr Media and 2K today put out a rather large update to Civilization VI, the June 2019 for Gathering Storm adds in some new features and comes with plenty of balance changes and bug fixes.
Unlike the situation with the new Borderlands 2 DLC, Aspyr Media were able to get Civ VI for Linux updated and ready to go so the Linux version of Sid Meier's Civilization VI is fully up to date, which is fantastic and exactly how it should be done! For a rundown of what's new and changed, their official video is below:

There's a huge amount that's changed and one that's particularly interesting which is a fix to a rather amusing exploit. Previously, you could gift negative resources to an AI, which the developers said had you "essentially giving a gift that grants their stuff back to you"—oh my! Not all of it is for Gathering Storm though, there's quite a bit of polish and updates for those without the DLC too. If you're interested, the full patch notes are here.
You can pick up your copy and the DLC on Humble Store (on sale) and Steam.
Quoting: GuestReally tempted to buy it. But does it run under AMD? I mean possible but when official there is only support for Nvidia...
Depends on how recent your Mesa version is. I have integrated Intel graphics, and it didn't work initially with Ubuntu 16.04's default Mesa version, but it works really well now (I am using padoka's ppa).

I have been playing it since launch on Ubuntu with my Vega 56. The only issue I encountered is this: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104602 And that is fixes with newer Mesa versions or by using the Steam launch options: "R600_DEBUG=nir %command%" Otherwise it works flawless for me.
Quoting: Mountain ManAny word on performance improvements? The game has always run like a pig on Linux once you start to open up the map a little bit.Just Linux, or does it simply run like a pig?

Performance is better now. When Gathering Storm came out as soon as I start build wind farms it started stutering. This no longer a problem for my desktop. (GPU Driver:NVIDIA 430.26, but was fine with 4.15 and 4.18 also)
