A Long Way Down mashes together elements of an RPG and a deck-building game, as you attempt to escape a maze and it's coming to Linux later this month.
On Steam, the team recently announced January 16 as the Early Access date. I asked if that included Linux, to which they gave me a crystal clear answer: "Yes it does! Windows, MacOS and Linux versions are ready for the Early Access Release :)".
Inspired by the likes of Darkest Dungeon, Slay the Spire and Hand of Fate I'm seriously keen to see what they have cooked up. Their most recent trailer is quite old and doesn't really show more than a few second gameplay, so here's a few shots:
Going by what they've said, their current development plain involves remaining in Early Access for up to eight months, depending on the kind of feedback they get.
You can wishlist and follow it on Steam.
Meanwhile, seeing as I'm very keen on this style of game (Picked up Slay the Spire on Early Access and loved it). I found another deck-builder rogue-lite called Fate Hunters (currently on sale, 50% discount), which I recommend almost as highly as StS. I picked up Fate Hunters during the Steam Winter Sale, and it's been grabbing my attention (25 hours played thus far). Unlocked each of the playable characters in the game, but haven't yet managed to finish the challenge to unlock Hard Mode.
For me, if Slay the Spire warrants 9 / 10 score, then Fate Hunters warrants 8.5 / 10 score.
Will watch this one with interest (wishlisted).

I'm 30 hours in with Fate Hunters and heartily second this recommendation. I'd put them both on a 9/10 personally. Only the 100+ hours I've spent in StS has dampened my enthusiasm for Fate Hunters, but it's a nice slow burn, and of the 30 hours played, I've only really played with the original character (although I've unlocked all five).
Great game, well worth picking up. The strategy options are immense and the atmosphere is excellent!
