Dungeon Drafters is another Kickstarter success as Manalith Studios' campaign just ended, hitting well over their goal and so the game is coming to Linux.

They have 1,164 backers pledge ¥5,452,011 (around $49,569) to help make it happen. While the campaign doesn't list Linux support, they did confirm to GOL on Twitter that would be the case: "HEY THERE! I just want to let you know that we are CONFIRMING that Dungeon Drafters will be released to Linux", this was also sent in a direct message to us too.

Check out some footage below in their trailer:

What to expect from it:

  • A tile-based dungeon crawler being developed for PC & Nintendo Switch.
  • A deck-building game, where your weapons are your cards.
  • A rogue-lite, where defeat means game over, but you don't lose everything.

Deck-building of all sorts is huge right now, helped by the popularity of games like Slay the Spire which gave such card games a bit of new life in the spotlight (and for good reason, it's great). I'm always keen to see more developers have a go at it and Dungeon Drafters certainly looks like a sweet game.

They don't have a store page up you can follow yet, but as always we're following the developer along and will keep you updated on any release dates as and when they come out.

It's also been added to our growing Dedicated Crowdfunding Page, which lists over 300 projects.
