Based on their unreleased and long delayed game, Techland are continuing to expand the excellent Dying Light with a fresh DLC arriving this Summer. The Dying Light – Hellraid DLC was announced today, with Techland explaining, "No, it’s not a metaphor. You will be literally hacking through demonic hordes of Hell.".

Sounds like it might be sizable too with a new dungeon map, new enemies and weapons included and it will also support co-op play too.

It all started with an arcade machine survivors found in the Tower’s basement while investigating an odd power outage. None of them could remember seeing this strange device ever before. They moved it upstairs, unaware of its true nature.

Check out the DLC teaser:

Dying Light is easily one of my favourite games in the last 5 years. The parkour is super-smooth, and the Zombie-smashing action is intense and often ridiculously over the top. They've expanded it a lot, often free, and recently it gained a Story Mode too for players who want it less intense. Techland have done some great work with Dying Light. Now we get to dungeon crawl too? Sign me up.

You can buy Dying Light on Humble Store and Steam.

This is probably the closest we'll ever get to Hellraid being an actual game we can play. Better than nothing, I guess. I was super excited when it got announced forever ago...

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away... well back in 2016 when I bough the game there were lots of disconnect issues, join a windows session was a pain, host a session wasn't good either. I finished the main campaign (single player) and tried to play some coop with no success, then I uninstalled and never touched back, until recently (a week ago maybe) and I'm having a blast.

My buddy and I are playing through it right now, during our weekly co-op gaming night ... God I love this game. They've done everything perfectly, so rich, so much attention to detail. Definitely gotta be one of the top three loot-and-shoot (hack) games ever made!
