Short on time and want an adventure? Wide Ocean Big Jacket might fit. It's a sweet camping adventure with a big heart. It was even a finalist for the "Excellence in Narrative" award in the Independent Games Festival 2020 so that should give you an idea of it being good.
"Take part in a classic camping trip: Roast hot dogs on the fire, go birdwatching, tell ghost stories, grab a beverage from the cooler and do cartwheels on the beach."

It's not long, with a single sitting taking an hour or less depending on how much you wish to see and explore. It's really sweet though! Turnfollow has managed to craft a game that's more like you're walking through an interactive story, and it's lovely. If you enjoyed games like Firewatch, leaning into the walking-sim type of thing, then Wide Ocean Big Jacket is probably the type of experience you would enjoy.
Currently, the Linux version is only on itch.io. The developer indicated a Steam release for Linux may happen in future but don't let that deter you as itch is a great store worth using (with an open source client too).
