- Cross-platform open source lighting control OpenRGB has a huge release out with plugins
- OpenRGB is the excellent cross-platform open source application for controlling RGB lighting control that doesn't depend on manufacturer software.
- AMD reveals Ryzen 5000 G-Series desktop APUs, FidelityFX Super Resolution and more
- AMD came out of the gates swinging wildly at Computex 2021 with new chips, new tech and lots more new including: AMD 3D chiplet technology, AMD Ryzen 5000 G-Series desktop APUs, next-gen gaming laptops with their new AMD Radeon 6000M Series Mobile Graphics and their DLSS competitor in FidelityFX Super Resolution.
- KDE Plasma 5.22 is out now with a focus on 'stability and usability' and more Wayland
- Stability and usability are the keys to the new KDE Plasma 5.22 release that's officially available today.
- DOOMBRINGER is a new first-person shooter from veterans of the Doom and Quake communities

- Valve have updated Dota 2 with a major new release featuring not only a brand new Battle Pass and a big new event, they also added in AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution.
- AMD releases FidelityFX Super Resolution, source code dropping mid-July
- Today AMD released FidelityFX Super Resolution, their attempt to answer NVIDIA's DLSS and the source code to it is coming soon for developers to look at.
- A busy weekend ahead perhaps? Steam Play Proton 6.3-5 is out now
- Valve announced the latest version of the Steam Play Proton compatibility layer is out now with 6.3-5. Update - 26/06/21: Proton Experimental also saw an update.
- The development release Wine 6.11 is out now, pulls in patch to help Roblox work on Linux
- Another two weeks and another bottle of Wine has been opened. This Wine 6.11 development release pulls in an interesting patch too for Roblox.
- Little Red Dog Games say there's "no reason not to" do Linux versions of games
- Little Red Dog Games developer of Precipice, Deep Sixed and Rogue State Revolution spoke in an interview with Linux hardware vendor System76 about developing games on and for Linux.
- Kalypso Media to reduce pricing on their games as a result of doing well
- Kalypso Media have announced something quite lovely. Since they're doing so well, they've decided that going forward they will be charging less for new and existing games.
- It's been over "20 years in the making", Blender 2.93 LTS is out now
- The Blender team today are making quite the super-effective splash about the Blender 2.93 LTS release mentioning how it's been "20 years in the making".
- The fantastic Linux gaming overlay MangoHud has a new version out
- MangoHud, the all in one solution to show off various performance metrics for Linux gaming, has a brand new version out now with more options.
- There's now a Debian User Repository in the style of the Arch User Repository

The popularity of technical texts is a surprise to me. I would have expect other aspects of gaming to have more love here.
