Need more games and you're on a budget? Want to help charity and get some games at the same time? The World Land Trust Bundle on itch.io looks great.
It’s no secret that the world is in immediate danger from climate change. You can’t switch on the TV, browse the internet or listen to the radio without being reminded how bad the situation is right now. Rising sea levels, global warming, forest fires, entire species' extinction. But there is still time to do something.
Organised by Plant Based Gaming with the help and support of Future Friends Games, this bundle offers over 60 games and you can buy them all together for $4.99 which is completely ridiculous value considering separately they would be around $486. It's live until December 10 with a goal of $50,000.
Here's some of the games included:
- A Good Snowman Is Hard To Build
- Cosmic Express
- Danger Scavenger
- Gladiabots
- Hacknet
- Hive Time
- NeuroVoider
- The Hex
- + lots more

Plus, a great cause.
Highly recommend Hidden Folks, one of the best hidden object (or well, hidden people) games I've played.
Similar Linux native games are hard to find. Artifex Mundi games are in same genre, but they mostly seem to be aiming being mysterious.
Hidden Folks is instead funny and is more like Where's Wally (or Wally) experience.
Net effect, the land will probably get more degraded rather than less, store less carbon rather than more, and the people whose land it really is get shafted, so someone out there can make a bundle of cash and we get to feel smug about it, as long as we don't look too close. It's becoming a significant problem.
