Stop everything (beside internet access) with russia as possible. All russian people should start to demonstrate against Putin and force him to resign.

Because I work witch people from Belarus i know that they are not russia ally, they are almost 'under occupation' and now when most company are not willing to trade witch Belarus its make life there even more hard (from my perspective killing people with guns (russia do it now in Ukraine) its near same Evil like not selling food to people and allow them to die from hunger (companies do it no by stoping trade witch Belarus))

Putin and Lukashenko are solely to blame for the suffering their actions have caused on their citizens. So, if the citizens are unhappy, they should know well who to send their complaints.

And while the bombs are falling on Ukrainians, I have very little sympathy for Belarussians and Russians who can't buy video games. Not that they could anyway, because their credit cards aren't quite as swift as they used to be.

I'll refrain from saying anything very particular because I don't want to possibly ignite a flame war, but GOG... bad, bad move; not the least because the Russian people != the Russian kind-of-dictator who's invaded Ukraine, and this move will only hurt the former (well, "hurt", because it's not like anybody would give a rat's a$$ about GOG on a large scale; Putin hunting down and arresting Russian political dissidents left and right as we speak is e.g. a much more stressful situation for the average Russian IMHO). But oh well, the world is in full hysterical mode nowadays and far wiser people have already fallen into that sad, black-and-white state of mind, so I really shouldn't be expecting better from poor ole GOG with its sh*te PR and Marketing departments.

yes one crazy person start war (that is evil) so as response lets make life on normal people in Belarus (that Hate Putin and Łukaszenko) more sad and hard be not selling them (because we can do evil thinks too and pretend that we do good think)

What's the general opinion of people over there about the Russian attack? I've heard that the local media is trying to pass the image that this is some kind of "defensive occupation" despite the fact that is Putin launching missiles on residential areas of Ukraine.

I understand people behind sanctions but things do not work this way here. People will just consolidate and finally China will benefit from everything. That is because everyone here is in special kind of information bubble in which Putin is right and nation hero. So to avoid same thing happenning again there should be something which makes people see what is really going on. Thinking people already protesting but that is in vain because they have zero support.

Meanwhile, Valve, a Yankee company, is still selling games to Russians...

Yes, the internet is the only way for russians the SEE/READ the truth instead of Putins propaganda. They are already censored in many ways since years.

Yes, the internet is the only way for russians the SEE/READ the truth instead of Putins propaganda. They are already censored in many ways since years.
The willing russian will find/knows ways to omit the censorship.

Nobody is actually willing to hear the sad truth, the propaganda sounds more comfortable.

I'd generally prefer anything that could be used as a channel of communication to remain open. Russians are getting loads of misinformation, and loads of sites are being cut off to keep the propaganda going. So anything allowing the truth to be told is welcome.

Yeah, that is Putins reaktion... calm down (or to poison) everyone against him. This is an ACT of a dictator and not from a democratic leader.

While I applaud these "punishments" as a whole, and I fiercely stand against Russia on this, there are a lot of moral issues with them, already mentioned by some users here, but also raise a lot of questions:

Poland has rejected the entry of Syrian refugees for years now, at the border with Ukraine African refugees have been effusively not allowed to cross, and at the border with Belarus a wall is also being built to prevent refugees from Lukashenko's regime. Why was there no stance with this then? Aren't those matters a reason to unite global entities?

Kurdish have been fighting Turkey, another dictatorship, and the advance of Islam extremism in the border with Syria. Why was there no stance with this then? Aren't those matters a reason to unite global entities?

No need to answer the questions, they're rhetorical.

Meanwhile, copyleft game availability remains unharmed in Russia. To learn who rules over you, simply find out who hides their source code from you.

Ukraine needs help, they need weapons, they need medicine, they need volunteers, they need basic things. Saving Ukraine now will also save Russia. Or else we all need a lot of luck.

It is very disappointing to see that your favorite companies shamelessly wipe their feet about ordinary players. Although we in Russia are very fond of their games, we have always supported them and someone even forgave them for the broken Cyberpunk. People will remember this act.

And it is a pity that xenophobia is flourishing on various sites. I would like to avoid this, of course.

P.S. Guys who think that in Russia they support the president and succumb to propaganda - you are wrong. Guys who think that this blatant harassment of Russians will help overthrow the government - you are also mistaken. The effect is the opposite (but not in the direction of supporting the president) - what, you can guess for yourself.
