Valve has put up a new build of Proton Experimental for April 27, this is the special version of Proton you can switch to that has all the latest fixes but less testing.

Going by the changelog these titles are newly playable:

  • Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide
  • Star Wars Episode I Racer

It also fixes video playback for Ember Knights, plus it also fixes up video playback for Ghostwire: Tokyo and other games using VP8 and VP9 codecs. Another note is that is now supports xinput controller reordering on the Steam Deck.

The changelog can be seen on GitHub.

Here's how to swap the Proton version on Steam Deck:

Star Wars Episode I Racer was the best ever coming out from that movie (including that movie).

Strange, I played Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide in past with Proton and everything worked without issue, only thing that didn't worked was the launcher. So I'm surprised that it's marked as newly playable, when it was playable in past.

Hmm...Endless Space 2 seems still to have the problem with upside down videos...

I thought it didn't work because of EAC?

Well, reports from players are different to Valve officially noting something as such.

That is Vermintide II, which is broken on Linux because of this.
