GOG are back with another game giveaway for you, this time it's the classic Jazz Jackrabbit 2 along with plenty in their ongoing Halloween Sale.

To claim the game, head to the main GOG homepage and scroll down. You have around 70 hours at time of writing to bag a copy for yourself. Then you can try it out with the Jazz² Resurrection game engine reimplementation to get it working even better on modern platforms.

A reminder of some quick picks that are on sale and good:

Head over to GOG.com for all the deals. Their sale lasts until November 3rd, 10 PM UTC.

Plenty of their games have Linux versions, otherwise you can try using the Heroic Launcher to run them with Wine which will work quite nicely for a lot of what they have.

If you do find a good deal be sure to leave a comment.

Jazz Jackrabbit - Good old memories, not sure if modern computers are too fast to play these classics or if it's my brain that got too slow.

Any one know why the GOG Galaxy client is listed on the Epic Game Store?

Jazz Jackrabbit 2 was and still is an excellent game, and one that was overlooked far too much in its day due to coming along at an awkward time in gaming history that resulted in it being unfairly dismissed. Easily one of the best 2D platformers ever made, and it's long run perfectly under Wine, too (which is another option for this one).

A bit off topic here...... But there is a really great Jazz Jackrabbit mod for Doom II called "Ultimate Jazz Jackrabbit Doom" that works great with GZDoom...... Worth checking out if you want a very bright and cartoony looking first person shooter.....

As for the topic yes I the GOG and got the free game........ Like a good little leech.........
